inuthings: (Anubis M)

"You're the key." He clarifies, tugging on the bracelets on his wrist. "Your blood, anyway. See, it should break the seal on the temple that keeps others out, which while allowing me in will also let Ammut out." Although all he needed was to get inside, once he was there he could send her back to the Duat with a portal.

It didn't sound that difficult and logically it shouldn't be. All Anubis needed was to get the man there and back, all without Hades realizing Anubis stole his kid. Technically it wasn't kidnapping since he agreed to go, but he doubted Hades would simply let this slide with a wave of his hand. There was a reason the rumors kept saying his son was "trying" to break out. He didn't know Hades reasons for keeping him in the Underworld but he assumed there was one. Even if it was derived from Persephone and whatever fears he had surrounding that.

Humans died and they moved on, as the God of the Underworld he should have realized it. Anubis did, there was a reason he didn't talk with living people. More than just their fears of him. The life of a mortal was short and trying to keep it longer by trapping them somewhereβ€”it only becomes a cage to them. Eventually even his son would break that cage, with or without Anubis' help.

"I assume we won't be taking the easy way out of here?" Which was typically a portal. Anubis could get in and out of both the Duat and the Underworld by those means. It was barely even a second thought for him, just popping around where he wanted to be. Whatever kept them in this place was no doubt going to keep Anubis from using magic on him. Chains, invisible or not, were still chains.

The only other way out through the Underworld that he knew about was the door to it. Which, if they were on the last layer, was all the way at the top. Anubis sighed at that revelation and turned his gaze to the other with a more renewed understanding. So, that explained the mess that Hades was currently cleaning up. Osiris would be angry too if Anubis was constantly killing his monsters. He didn't think he'd be fighting his way out of hell today but for Ammut, he'd do it.

"Hades should have answered his door." Anubis summoned his Crook, the long stick like object that curved at the end being as tall as him. "Can you tell me your name? I'm afraid the rest of us just know you as Hades' Son, he's not very inclined to give us any information about you." There was actually a debate on if he was real or not.
